It's all about leveling the playing field for those who can't get a tax-free insurance program. <br /><br />Wage and price controls in World War II first decoupled medical care from expense when companies used it to replace wage increases. <br /><br />Later, HMOs out to solve that problem simply made it worse by creating one more layer of insulation in the process. Now government is doing the VERY same thing once again, but even more so.<br /><br />As an alternative, Ron is putting YOU back in charge of your own health care. It's especially important for those that can't get health insurance. It allows a tax credit for what you do spend and allows insurance companies to cross state boundaries and compete.
